Sara Barnett, Director of Operations and Finance

Hi, my name is Sara Barnett.  I grew up in Bellville and am a 1996 graduate of Bellville High School.  I attended college at the University of Houston where I graduated magna cum laude from the Conrad N. Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Management in December of 2000.  My husband Treavor and I have been married since 2001 and we have two daughters, Allie and Katie Beth.  Upon college graduation I worked at the Bellville Meat Market from January 2001 to July 2014 before deciding to leave the full-time work force to focus more on my family.  I joined the St. Mary’s staff in September 2015 as a part-time office assistant.  I love being part of the St. Mary’s school again as I attended Pre-K here as a child and both of my daughters did also.  I look forward every day to seeing all the bright smiles on all the students faces!!

Natasha McGee, Kindergarten Teacher

Hi!  My name is Natasha McGee and I am excited to be the Kindergarten teacher at St. Mary's Day School.  Growing up, I lived in California, South Africa, California again and then finally made it to Katy, Texas my freshman year of high school. I graduated from Taylor High School in 2001 and went on to be a freshman at Texas A&M University -Corpus Christi.  I graduated from there in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies -Early Childhood through 4th grade.   I taught first grade right out of college and then shortly after that I married my college sweetheart, Wade McGee in 2006.  We began our family in 2009 and now have 3 amazing boys, Hudson, Owen and Everett that I am blessed to be a mom to. We moved to Bellville in 2015 and wish we had done it sooner!  We absolutely love this small town and couldn't imagine raising our kids anywhere else.  After taking time off to be a stay at home mom to our boys, I am very excited to be back in the classroom teaching Kindergarten. Every child who enters my classroom is the reason why I am there.  Please know that parent/teacher communication is very important to me because I truly believe it takes a village and I feel blessed to be a part of your child's village.  Kindergarten is such a fun and exciting year and I am looking forward to seeing what this year has in store for us!

Holly Lewis, Pre-K Teacher

Hello! My name is Holly Lewis, and I am excited to teach Pre-K here at St. Mary’s! I grew up in Cypress, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2006 with a degree in Academic Studies for Early Childhood  Education. I taught in Cy-Fair ISD from 2006 to 2017 in both Kindergarten and middle school science, then in Burton ISD from 2017 to 2019 in Kindergarten. I married my husband, Joel, in 2005. We have 2 great kids, Olivia and Owen! We moved to the Bellville ISD area in 2017. We are loving life out here and enjoy being part of a small town community!  We found St. Mary’s when we needed childcare for our son Owen, and we are so thankful we did! As a teacher it is important to me to create a loving, safe, fun, and purposeful educational environment. I am excited to meet all of my students and parents this school year! I feel blessed to be a part of the St. Mary’s team, and I look forward to a fantastic year!

Amy Greene, Pre-K Teacher

Hello! My name is Amy Greene, and my family and I have lived in Bellville since March 2013. My husband Jason and I have been married for 12 years and have a sweet seven-year-old daughter named Holly. Jason is from Deer Park, Texas and we lived there from 2003-2013. We were thrilled when his career in Information Technology gave us the opportunity to move from Houston. We chose Bellville and we love living here! I grew up down the road from Bellville in Weimar and graduated from Bishop Forest High School in Schulenburg in 1986. I then attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Communications in 1992, and had a career in public relations until 1996. Then, wanting to make a change to a career that was more meaningful and in which I could help others, I went back to school at the University of Houston for a teaching certificate. I enjoyed being a teacher for 13 years, first nine years with intermediate and junior-high aged children, then Pre-K children for the last four years. However young or old the kids, I believe they are at their best in a positive, encouraging environment, and always made my classroom that kind of place. When Holly was born, I was excited to become a stay-at-home Mom and am so thankful for having been able to be at home for her. After our move to Bellville, we chose St. Mary’s Pre-K class for Holly, and we were so happy to see that she was excited about going school every day. When I was offered a chance to join the professional, enthusiastic team at St. Mary’s, I gladly accepted, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
